Azure Cosmos DB
service · part of Azure
Azure Cosmos DB is a fully managed NoSQL database service for semi-structured data, offering global distribution and multi-model support.
It supports real-time analytics and low-latency access, making it suitable for scenarios where ML models process data and generate predictions in real time, such as monitoring user activity and providing personalized recommendations. Best practices include setting appropriate partition keys for even data distribution and using indexing policies to optimize query performance.
It provides turnkey global distribution across any number of Azure regions, elastic scaling of throughput and storage, and guarantees single-digit-millisecond latencies at the 99th percentile. It supports multiple consistency models, including strong, bounded staleness, session, consistent prefix, and eventual consistency.
