GitHub repository creation

service · part of Repository Management

A GitHub repository is created via the web interface at github.com. The user signs in, creates a new repository with the same name as the local directory (e.g., 'git test'), sets it to private, and copies the HTTPS URL for remote setup. This provides a remote backup and collaboration platform.
