Validation Loss

Validation loss is a measure of how well the model generalizes to unseen data. It is calculated using a separate validation dataset. A diverging validation loss compared to training loss may indicate overfitting. If validation loss starts to increase while training loss decreases, this suggests the model is overfitting.
